Skyray is a fast-growing company specialized in the design, engineering, and execution of large-scale photovoltaic and energy storage projects connected to MV/HV grids.
A subsidiary of the Everoze group—an independent and renowned renewable energy consultancy—Skyray supports complex projects across France and Europe, with offices in Lyon, Lisbon, Bristol, and Milan.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Your Role and Responsibilities:

Skyray has been quite successful in the Portuguese solar market and is already providing owner’s engineering services for several projects, including self-consumption for industrial facilities, UPPs portfolios and large-scale ground-mounted PV projects.

The role is a mixture of technical and project management work and consists in providing solar engineering support across different phases of PV projects, including development, EPC tendering, construction monitoring and commissioning. You will support the project manager, ensuring the projects are delivered on time and according to the technical requirements, with the support of our internal technical team whenever necessary. Site visits within Portugal are expected, and depending on the project this could mean spending several days/week at site. This is a technical role but the ability to work with clients and interface seamlessly with an internal team is essential.

The candidate is also expected to have, or be willing to develop the required technical skills for the role such as site supervision/construction monitoring, tender support, PV plant design, energy assessments, etc.

As an intern you’re not expected to have previous experience. Your profile and motivation will be the most important aspects to consider, but previous experiences in solar PV or construction projects are a plus.

Your Main tasks

As a Project Engineer Intern, you will be involved in :

1. Development

Provide technical support to Owners throughout the different project phases (feasibility studies, design, permitting, tendering, construction, commissioning).

2. Construction

An important part of your responsibilities will be on site. You will monitor construction, control quality and ensure construction works run smoothly and on time.

3. Cost

Control internal costs to make sure projects are completed within budgets agreed with clients.

4. Coordinate

Ensure coordination of the various project stakeholders (clients, external service providers, subcontractors, etc.).

5. Project Administration

Maintenance of client and project documentation, issue and review of project and technical reports.
