Graduate Engineer Intership
Entry-level Solar PV Project Manager

  • Location: Lyon – France, Bristol – UK, or Lisbon – Portugal

  • Contract: Intership
  • Working arrangement: Based at the office but with possiblity to work from hom a few days/month

  • Travel Requirements: Few trips required

  • Remuneration: to be determined upon location and length

  • Experience: Graduate diploma Bac+5 in engineering, MsC, or equivalent

Skyray, a fast-growing company specialising in the design, engineering and construction of large-scale photovoltaic installations (including solar storage), is looking for a graduate engineer to participate in the development and design of solar projects in Europe.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Join our team and learn how to manage and carry out projects under development, from design to construction.

Main tasks

As Project Manager

  • Provide technical support to solar project developers throughout the various phases of the project

  • Manage projects according to the three-pronged approach of cost control/time guarantee/quality assurance

  • Ensure coordination between the various project stakeholders

  • Schedule on-site visits, possibly abroad, while doing your best to ensure a smooth collaboration with the existing in-house team

As an Engineer

  • Carrying out studies on the siting of photovoltaic generators (shading studies, electrical sizing and detailed production calculations), with the support of a team of specialists

  • Monitor technological and regulatory developments

  • Suggest improvements/adjustments to existing internal methods and processes

PROFILE

Education

  • Graduate diploma (Bac +5) in engineering or MsC, preferably with an electrical specialisation (for example, from SUPELEC, ENSE3, ENSEEIHT, INSA…).

Languages

  • Fluent in English and French for any intership in France

Technical skills

  • Knowledge of the main photovoltaic design software (Autocad, PVSyst, PVCASE, Helios3D, Virto, etc.)

  • Project management skills

  • Good writing skills

  • Team spirit and ability to work in a multicultural environment

  • Rigorous and precise in monitoring design studies, meeting deadlines, quality and costs

  • Organised and able to manage several projects simultaneously
